Transform the lives of Hawaiʻi's families in quarantine!
In November of 2020, PIDF partnered with the Hawaiʻi Department of Health to offer a quarantine shelter for people exposed to COVID-19 or for those who have tested positive. The focus of this project is to provide a safe space for guests to heal while mitigating household spread. Our shared intention is that as long as we are needed, Open Arms Harbor hotel will be here to care for our community.
Since itʻs opening, we have welcomed more than 90 guests to the former Harbor Arms Hotel. While there, the Open Arms Harbor team provides the basic needs of all guests. This includes daily wellness check-ins, case management, meals, and more.
As our government continues to meet our greater community's needs, PIDF would like to be the best stewards of the partnership by raising the funds necessary to support the cost of meals for our guests. Just $15 a day feeds one guest at the hotel.
